Spring Afternoon & Adorable Family | Hattiesburg Child and Family Photographer

I was so excited when Kelli contacted me to do a family session. We hit it off great over the phone so I knew we would have so much fun together. Our session was to be a family session and their adorable son’s first birthday session too. She told me she had a bright red high chair she wanted to use for the session and I knew just the place to go for our session. My 8 year old daughter, Emma, came along as my assistant and did a great job. Little ones really seem to like “bigger kids.” Emma would hop around and act silly to help get smiles. We kept shooting as long as we could. It was just a magical spring afternoon and everything fell into place perfectly. I normally do not share so many images on a blog post, but I just could not help myself. There were so many good ones!

I have known about this theme for weeks and I thought and thought about what I wanted to do. I got so stuck, I just could not think of anything that I wanted to do! I usually love this kind of challenge, but it was really getting to me. I decided to just go down a list of the bands I like and their song titles. I was going through the songs for The Cure and “A Letter to Elise” stuck out to me. First, I like the song and second, I have an Elise! So my interpretation is pretty literal.

The Cure is known for being moody and brooding, so I tried to convey that in my images for this week. The lyrics are sad to me, so I tried to get her to act “sad.” No one can do “brooding” like my Elise!

I had to throw in the last one that wasn’t quite so moody!

Double the Fun, 3 Month Old Twins! | Hattiesburg, MS Baby Photographer

I could not have been more excited when April contacted me about doing a year “watch me grow” plan for her twins. These cuties were 3 months old, and they were so good! April and her family live in a beautiful neighborhood and the nursery was so cute. We had a lot of fun getting these two to look our way while we captured these adorable images. Could these guys be any cuter?

Thank you guys for such a wonderful time. I cannot wait until our next session!

Melody is such a beautiful girl, both inside and out. She has the most amazing skin and blue eyes. She is a 2012 Senior of Oak Grove High School and will be headed to Utah in the Fall for college. Her name is perfect because she loves music and is a beautiful singer. She evokes beauty not only on the outside, but she is a beautiful person on the inside.

I was so excited when Kimberly contacted me about doing a maternity Session and a newborn session. Her and her husband are local realtors and are the nicest couple you will ever meet! They are expecting TWINS! A little girl and a little boy. Who could ask for a better blessing?! Kimberly and Phillip were naturals in front of the camera and we really had a great time together. The camera particularly loved Kimberly. She is so gorgeous that just about every image was perfection. I had a really, really hard time narrowing them down. As you will see, I had a hard time narrowing down the ones to share for this blog post.

Thank you Kimberly and Phillip. I had such a good time with you guys. I cannot to meet your little ones soon!

Max & Spiderman | Hattiesburg, MS Child Photographer

The other day the kids and I were outside enjoying the beautiful weather. Max decided to bring out his favorite new toy, Spiderman. There is nothing cuter to me than seeing a little boy play with his toys. I often get lazy, quite frankly, and don’t particularly like getting out my camera when I am not “working.” I am so glad that the beautiful light and Max’s cuteness prompted me to get my camera to take pictures of what is most important, my own kids!

Yeah, I am so excited to start my 2nd Annual Rockin’ Mama Giveaway! Last year was my first year to do it and it was so much fun! Please read below for all the details!

1. Grand prize. A 2 hour photo shoot with Suzanne Carey Photography. Winner will choose her top 10 favorites from our session and I will deliver high resolution images on disc with print release. I have to admit, I was pretty excited about this one. I love setting a table for parties, especially tea parties. I love to have tea parties with friends. Of course I waited until the last minute to pull something together, but I am happy with how it turned out.

You will have to forgive me for having so many images, I had a hard time narrowing them down!
