Project 52 {Week 32} I love bloom | hattiesburg, MS photographer
Friday, August 12th, 2011Project 52 {Week 31} Toys/Kids | Hattiesburg, MS Photographer
Friday, August 5th, 2011This week our theme is Toys/Kids. When I first thought of the theme I immediately thought of our little Max. He LOVES playing with his toys. His favorites are his Star Wars and Toy Story toys. He is so cute! He will yell out “Darth Vader” in the middle of church which causes ripples of giggles all around us. (Including us) So this week I give you Max and his toys!! Please be sure to follow Denise of DTrigoPhotography and complete the circle!
This first one is my favorite. He’s so cute lying on his Star Wars bedding playing with his Darth Vader!

He lined all of his toys up and went through each one to tell me who they are. In this picture he is pointing to “Chewbacca.” It’s so cute the way he says it.

Now Buzz made it to the party. Another of his favorites!

Project 52 {Week 30} Flying, Flight, Journey | Hattiesburg, MS Photographer
Friday, July 29th, 2011This week has been a crazy journey for me. I went to a Sandy Puc seminar in Baton Rouge with some fabulous photographer friends of mine, I registered my oldest for 2nd grade, and I visited my mom in ICU who had a “close one”. It has been a week of extreme ups and downs. I am grateful for this journey called life and hope I can endure it to the best of my ability with a smile on my face.
Please visit Patrica’s image for this week’s theme HERE. She is an amazing San Francisco Bay Area Photographer. Be sure to leave her some blog love!
Project 52 {Week 29} Old/Antiques | Hattiesburg, MS Photographer
Friday, July 22nd, 2011I had my first session at my home this past week. Tina and Michael came all the way from Taylorsville. I photographed their wedding years ago when I was pregnant with Elise. It was a beautiful wedding. I am honored they asked me to take pictures of their newborn, little Eli.
I had an idea to pull two of the drawers out of our dresser in our bedroom and place baby Eli in them for a few shots. The dresser belonged to my aunt, Aunt Clarice. (Featured in a previous Project 52 HERE) She meant the world to me. When she passed I became the owner of her bedroom suit. It came with a beautiful sleigh bed, two side tables, a large dresser and mirror. I have the pieces all over my home. They mean so much to me because they remind me of her. When we would spend the night in her home, we would stay in the room with this furniture. The bed was so tall! I remember the dresser was filled with “goodies”, her costume jewelry, gloves, old papers, etc. It was a treasure chest to me!

Project 52 {Week 28} Night Lights | Hattiesburg, MS Photographer
Friday, July 15th, 2011At midnight tonight Neil and I met with my sister and niece to see Harry Potter. Yes, I waited until the very last moment to complete my project for this week but I will say, this has been one of my most favorite yet! I grabbed my camera as we drove the the theater and just captured all the lights around me. I LOVE the Bulb setting on a camera and it has been a long time since I played around with it. So Neil drove and it was raining and I just hand held the camera and took image after image of us with the traffice around us and the red lights. It was so much fun! I was like, “Oh look at this one!” or “Oh this one looks so cool!” It was really fun. I narrowed these down to my 3 favorites.
The first one is when we stopped to get gas. This is the traffice going by as we were leaving the parking lot. The second is the view of us driving under a green light. The third is the traffic in front of us at a red light. I moved the camera up and down in a quick motion while I held the shutter. That is what gives is a neat wavy effect.
If you have not played around with the Bulb setting on your camera, or if it has been awhile, do it tonight. It is so fun!!
